Holiday Gift Baskets
Help us to create holiday packages for older adult in our community!
Many of our clients are low-income and/or all alone for the holidays. Some haven't received a holiday gift in years. EFS, with the help of our community, is once again creating holiday gift bags. This year we’re hoping to provide 85 care packages to a low-income apartment complex for older adults in downtown Issaquah. We are looking for donations to include in our care packages.

All recipes contributed by local seniors
In the summer of 2023, Nicholas V., a junior at Interlake High School in Bellevue, contacted Eastside Friends of Seniors with the goal of obtaining recipes from our seniors. He wanted to pass their favorite recipes on to future generations and preserve our diverse culture. Nicholas has collected recipes from seniors all over the Eastside, including residents of Providence Point, and members of the Issaquah Senior Center, Sammamish Seniors, and Eastside Friends of Seniors.

Not only are there wonderful recipes included in this book, most recipes will have a corresponding story with a window into the past. Why did mom or grandma make this recipe? How long has it been in our family? Was this a traditional celebration food item?
This is a great opportunity to support EFS, connect with our community, and to own a resource to create something delicious!
