Event Direction Internship: Put on the Blue Hair Benefit – alternative music concert to benefit Eastside Friends of Seniors and raise awareness.

Required:

  • Well-organized

  • Able to put together effective marketing materials in print and on-line
  • Able to use social networking sites: Facebook, YouTube and Twitter
  • Able to maximize and work in a tight budget
  • Able to solicit and manage volunteers
  • Able to come into the office in Sammamish periodically

Journalism Internship: Write stories about our clients

Required:

  • Well-organized
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision

  • Able to interview clients and volunteers with warmth and sensitivity
  • Able to photograph clients and volunteers
  • Have transportation to/from clients’ homes

Project Coordination Internship: Distribute disaster kits to clients

Required:

  • Well-organized
  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Able to work with elderly clients and volunteers with warmth and sensitivity
  • Able to work cooperatively with client services coordinator and other staff
  • Able to come into the office in Sammamish periodically

Website/Social Media Marketing Internship promote agency program and volunteer activities on-line

Required:

Required:

  • Able to video clients and volunteers with sensitivity
  • Have transportation to/from clients’ homes

Database Internship – assist in the development of a customized database application

Required:

  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and Microsoft Access
  • Able to work under the supervision of our IT specialist
  • Available for at least two hours on Thursdays in the window of 9:30 – 1:30 in Sammamish

Sales/Fundraising Internship – solicit donations for fundraising auction

Required:

  • Self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision
